1.      Uniform Civil Code is part of the Directive Principle of State Policy in the Indian Constitution. However, successive governments have made little negligible progress in this regard. Do you think that the absence of a uniform civil code is repugnant to the ideal of secularism in India? What in your view are the factors that have stalled the process of moving towards a uniform civil code? Is there a way out?
