₹10,000 each to 21 lakh Women Under Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana

- In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today transferred ten thousand rupees each to 21 lakh women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- The amount was transferred just before the implementation of the model code of conduct in view of the assembly elections in the state.
- A total amount of 2,100 crore rupees was transferred to the accounts of women beneficiaries by the Chief Minister.
- This is the third phase of fund transfer to the beneficiaries under the scheme.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched this scheme on September 26 through video conferencing from New Delhi.
- More than 1.1 crore women beneficiaries have been selected for this scheme in Bihar.
- The scheme is implemented by the Rural Development Department, and aims to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among women.
- The scheme is being carried out through self-help groups.
