- Greenland’s Parliament passed a law restricting property ownership by foreigners amid rising U.S. interest.
- Only residents who have lived and paid taxes in Greenland for two years can buy land.
- The rule, effective January 1, 2026, limits purchases to Greenlandic, Faroese, and Danish citizens or companies.
