NEET-UG 2026 held across 551 cities in India and 14 abroad

The NEET-UG 2026 examination was conducted on Sunday, 3^rd May 2026, across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
The centres abroad include Kuwait City (Kuwait), Dubai (UAE), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Sharjah (UAE), Bangkok (Thailand), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Doha (Qatar), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Lagos (Nigeria), Manama (Bahrain), Muscat (Oman), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Singapore (Singapore).
The examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for nearly 23 lakh registered candidates at centres across the country under strict protocols, officials said.
NEET-UG continues to be one of the largest undergraduate entrance examinations in India and serves as the gateway for admission to MBBS, BDS and other allied medical programmes across institutions in the country.

National Testing Agency (NTA)

It is an autonomous organization established in 2017 to conducts entrance examinations for higher education institutions.
It works under the Ministry of Education.

JEE Main – Engineering colleges (NITs, IIITs)
NEET UG – Medical (MBBS, BDS)
CUET UG – UG admissions
CUET PG – PG admissions
UGC NET – Assistant Professor / JRF
CMAT – MBA
GPAT – Pharmacy
NEET PG is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS)
