- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and China’s President Xi Jinping discussed plans to build a massive sea wall along the northern coast of Java, known as the Giant Sea Wall project.
- Jakarta estimates the climate project will take 15 to 20 years to complete.
- Floods in Jakarta are chronic, especially during the monsoon season.
- It is expected to cost $80 billion.
