An-32 cargo plane crash kills 5 IAF men in Assam

- Five Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel were killed after an An-32 cargo aircraft met with an accident while landing at the Jorhat airbase in eastern Assam on 13 June 2026.
- The PTI reported that the aircraft was set to fly to Chabua from Jorhat, but requested a landing shortly after taking off.
- The aircraft lost control upon touchdown and skidded off the runway, hurtling across a parallel taxiway and snapping into two segments before being engulfed in flames, the PTI added.
- “A court of inquiry is being constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident,” the IAF statement read.
