- The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) carried out a salvo launch of two indigenous Pralay missiles from the same launcher.
- Salvo means a number of weapons released from one or more aircraft in quick succession.
- The flight-tests were conducted as part of user evaluation trials.
- Pralay is an indigenously developed, short-range, surface-to-surface ballistic missile designed for conventional precision strikes.
- According to the Ministry of Defence, both missiles followed the intended trajectory and met all mission objectives, as confirmed by tracking sensors deployed by the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.
- Terminal events were validated through telemetry systems on ships positioned near the designated impact points.
